So I’ve had the excitement, pleasure and hard work of moving homes recently… Which as I’m sure you’ve experienced is always fun… The excitement of the new place, the memories of the old…The realisation of how much “stuff” that I had accumulated that a) I had forgotten I had.. And b) haven’t used for ages if ever at all and the list goes on.. All in all it was pretty smooth and I’m very grateful for the help that I had…

The most interesting part of the move is our new home is in a new area that the streets have names, but the streets aren’t on Google maps yet!!!

So does our home really exist???

Of ┬ácourse it does but it has posed a few issues already which have been interesting and humorous all at the same time… The poor NBN guy was about a 30minute drive from our place and in a totally different suburb when he was trying to hook up our internet…

Home delivery of anything seems to be easier to go pick it up…

Anyone I’ve given the address to doesn’t want me to give directions because “they’ll just google it” and look shocked and dismayed when I mention it’s not on there yet…so I can see it will still be fun for a lil’ while..

But it got me thinking where in my life am I missing a Map or plan… If it’s not on the map does it really exist or will change and or improvement happen? The week before the move it was clear how important a plan is… Because quite frankly there was none around food and other things .. And the take out tour of 2016 was on (everything was packed up), well that’s my excuse anyway…

And I could see where things could get out of control very quickly…

So, one of my to do’s to get to done now that the new home is all sorted is to sit and map out the direction and plan for the rest of the year… It was hard to really get clarity around before home was all settled.. But now it is there are no more excuses.. I can now start being creative rather than stuck in decision fatigue (a conversation for another time)… I’m determined to have the best year yet this year and taking a little bit of time out to get the Map right is an investment I’m very excited to make… Mxo
